What is tithing
The tithe is a tenth of vegetables and livestock (goats, sheep and cattle).
For whom it was intended to Levitical law
And who among the sons of Levi, who receive the priesthood, have a commandment in the law to take tithes of the people, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham.
Hebrews 7:5
And, so to speak, through Abraham even Levi, who receives tithes, paid tithes.

What does Malachi 3.8
Since the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return unto you says the Lord of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?
Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me, ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
Ye are cursed with a curse; because they have robbed me, even you, this whole nation.
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that it furnished by you to greater affluence.
Who was stealing from God, not to take tithes of vegetables and livestock? Jews. This verse does not apply to Gentiles, only for Jews of that time, they were under the old covenant.
Malachi 3:7-10
Because Jesus told the Pharisees hypocrites tithing
Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy and faith; you must, however, do these things, and not miss those. Matthew 23:23
The Jews, with Jesus before his death, were still under the yoke of the Old Testament laws. So Jesus said to the Pharisees hypocrites who should tithe on the vegetables.
These days
The Levitical law was repealed
Insomuch that, if perfection were through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
Because changing the priesthood necessarily also makes changing the law.
Hebrews 7:11-12
it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Judah, of which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priests.
And yet far more evident is that after the similitude of Melchisedec there ariseth another priest, which was not done according to the law of a carnal commandment, but after the power of an endless life.
For he testifieth, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
For indeed, the former commandment is abrogated because of its weakness and uselessness
{For the law made nothing perfect}, and the bringing in of a better hope, through which we approach God.
Hebrews 7:14-19
Christ is the new High Priest
Because such a high priest became us, holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; you do not need, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for his own sins, and then for the people; for this he did once for all when he offered himself.
For the law appoints as high priests men who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints a Son, perfected for evermore.

What is the true sacrifice for today
You must die to this world, keeping your body working of the Holy Spirit.
Do not be fooled
Deals, yes, they are for our time, so much so that Jesus Christ gave the example of the widow's mite.
Some churches such as the Christian Church of Brazil, do not collect tithes of the faithful, and do it correctly, with the correct reading of the New Testament, which was given to the Gentiles, and not raising laws already repealed the Old Testament
Do not abandon your faith, just do not pay tithes. But take the offer of his heart.
